Virtual Birth Doula Support

Service Description

You will receive three, 90 min virtual preparation sessions, unlimited on-call virtual support for the day of labor, and unlimited on-call virtual support for the week following the birth. We trust in your ability and your baby’s ability to “do” birth! During our sessions we will: - give easy, nutritional advice regarding the impact on pregnancy and how the right nutrients can prevent problems that come up in birth like preeclampsia, hemorrhage and infections. - teach you personalized, simple postures and gentle movements that will prepare your body for labor. - explain upcoming tests, alternatives, and how a “fail” will affect childbirth. - help you understand the Anatomy, Physiology, Maternal-Fetal Positioning, Internal Chemicals Involved, etc. (You will make confident choices when you understand the process you’re experiencing) Partners cannot become birth experts in a short 9 months, and it is unfair to expect them to be, so we will equip your partner to be the Hero-Support they were meant to be! We are THEIR virtual support throughout the birth process too - we like to brag that we are the birth encyclopedia in their back pocket. - explain the politics of your chosen birth setting and how to make sure your voice is heard, vs being labeled "resistant". - assist with Birth Plan / Wish List creation that focuses on working with/around protocol instead of fighting, causing more anxiety. - coach you and your partner on comfort measures & coping techniques for labor, before and during the exciting process. - support Breastfeeding Readiness so that you're prepared and confident from the first latch. - make sure you're mentally and emotionally ready for the Big Day, by working through any current, late pregnancy concerns or anxieties And then, on the Big Day, we will....... - provide Unlimited, On-Call Virtual Support for the day of birth. - be available for Unlimited, Follow up Virtual Support for the week after birth, including breastfeeding and basic newborn care advice. ------ If you'd like, we can schedule a Nursery Consultation, discussing essential newborn supplies & our "Pro-Tip Registry Recommendations" The total fee for this service is $975. You will set up this care by booking our first virtual session here.
